| PBD-Oration |
1. With a view to encourage and promote well-informed and high-quality debates and public discourses, it is proposed to institute a prestigious annual lecture-series in the backdrop of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention held in January every year since 2003.
2. The first in this lecture-series under the overarching theme of ‘India and its Diaspora: Everlasting Bonds of Togetherness’ will be delivered by Prof. Jagdish Bhagwati, University Professor at Columbia University and Senior Fellow in International Economicsat the Councilon Foreign Relations at 1630-1730 hrs Friday, the 08th January 2010 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
